From the first moment we stepped into Shahaf’s house we felt welcomed and cared for. Aside from the Earthy décor and structure that is obviously hand crafted, there were plenty of well thought considerations. A hand made soap that smelled divine, a new kitchen towel, fire wood for the in door fireplace and a jar full of delicious cookies. The house is located at the edge of the village over looking a small Wadi and is completely isolated and quiet. There was plenty of room for us four between the double bed and the mattresses laid out. There are enough utensils for four and the cutlery is all made of clay with beautiful earthy tones. There is a stove top and toaster oven and a full size refrigerator which definitely came in handy. Shahaf made sure there was ice in the freezer, plenty of body towels for the shower and candles to light around. The toilet is separated by a door while the stone tub is tacked behind half a wall and hanging cotton curtains. Very romantic for couples and still manageable for a group of friends. The outdoors provides with multiple options to lounge; either on hammocks (yes, in plural), lounging couches or a dining table. Outside there is a dedicated place for camp fire which we utilized and Shahaf was so thoughtful that she not only provided us with plenty of wood but also make sure to stack and prepare a pile of twigs and burning materials so it is easy to get the camp fire going. The beautiful home provided us with everything we needed with class and ease. Thank you Shahaf, it was a pleasure to be your guests.
